Full Funnel Tracking Setup — E-commerce COD (Shopify)
Project Overview
Set up a complete end-to-end tracking infrastructure for a Shopify-based e-commerce brand selling personalized Islamic gifts. The goal was to ensure accurate data collection across both Meta (Facebook) and Google Analytics 4 platforms, enabling reliable retargeting, conversion tracking, and audience building.
- I managed Meta Ads, Server Site Tracking, and Browser site tracking to increase online visibility, generate quality leads, and drive bookings through digital channels.

Key Responsibilities & Actions:
SERVER SITE TRACKING + BROWSER SITE TRACKING
-
1. Meta Pixel & Conversions API (CAPI) Setup Configured the Meta Pixel alongside the Conversions API for server-side event tracking to ensure data accuracy and bypass browser-side limitations (ad blockers, iOS restrictions). Events tracked include: PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, Purchase, Lead, Form Start, Scroll Depth (90%), and 10 Seconds on Page — all active and firing correctly with event match quality scores ranging from 4.4 to 6.1/10.
2. Google Tag Manager Configuration Built a clean, organized GTM workspace with 14+ tags, 7 triggers, and a full variable library including Data Layer Variables and Custom JavaScript variables. Tags were set up for both Meta and GA4, covering all key funnel events. The workspace was tested and verified using GTM Preview Mode before publishing.
3. GA4 Event Tracking Implemented Google Analytics 4 events in parallel with Meta events, including: Page View, View Content, Add to Cart, Purchase, Lead, Scroll Depth, and 30 Seconds on Page — all mapped to the corresponding GA4 event schema for clean reporting.
4. Data Layer Implementation Structured a rich data layer pushing product-level data including product name, ID, variant ID, category, brand, price, quantity, currency, and user information (email, name, address, city, country) — enabling advanced matching and high-quality event signals.
5. Deduplication Handling Identified and managed PageView and other event deduplication between browser-side Pixel and server-side CAPI events, ensuring Facebook does not double-count events in the Events Manager.
6. Testing & QA Verified all tags firing correctly via GTM Preview Mode. Confirmed Conversions API tag sending requests to the Facebook Graph API (POST 200 response). Reviewed the Events Manager Test Events tab and live event stream to validate accuracy.
Tools & Platforms Used:
Google Tag Manager · Meta Pixel · Meta Conversions API · GA4 · Shopify · GTM Preview / Debugger · Facebook Events Manager
